Academy of the Dark Arts

If you’d told me six months ago that I would end up at the Academy for the Dark Arts, I never would’ve believed you. 

But I wouldn’t have believed I was a Dark Witch either...and look how that turned out.


Being a Highborne Witch was simple. 

Maybe I wasn’t allowed to cast curses or summon demons, but I was okay with that. And sure, sometimes we burned each other at the stake. But only when someone really deserved it.

I was content. Happy, even. 

And then the initiation rites go so very wrong. 

Suddenly, I’m not a Highborne Witch anymore. Witch Law forbids me to stay so I’m given two choices—burn at the stake or attend the Academy of the Dark Arts. 

It’s a choice that seems simple enough until I arrive at my new school only to find the witches there don’t trust me either. I’m instantly branded an outsider. An outcast among outcasts.

Well joke’s on them. They can whisk me off to another city and send me to a school full of zombified servants and half-spider people, but I’m not going to just sit back and take it. This is all some kind of horrible mistake. I’m determined to prove it.

At least, until three handsome Dark Witches make me question everything.

Merlin, Puck, and Nicholas. 

The more time we spend together, the more I wonder if Dark Witches are really so different after all. Even if they are…would it really be so bad if I turn out to be one of them?
